The Wan Bark Foundation Difference
The Wan Bark Foundation was founded in response to growing issues around childhood obesity and related health diseases as well as outcry from local residents within select communities in Orange County.
The board members and core team develop programs that directly address the root of the program – poor eating habits, lack of access to fresh, healthy foods and lack or incorrect of knowledge about nutrition and exercise. Our team is comprised of educators, food service managers and child care professionals who are deeply committed to building a healthier outcomes for youth.
We partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture to sponsor and implement the Summer Food Service Program within communities of high need in Orange County. Our Eat Right Education Series and Power Up Pledge campaigns also orignate our of these same communities.
